What this covers

This policy explains how MOPE Clinic ("MOPE," "we" or "us") handles personal information connected to this website, mopeclinic.com, and to the calls, texts and emails you send us after finding it.

It does not cover your medical record. Information in your chart, including your labs, exam findings and treatment, is handled separately. We follow the same HIPAA guidelines for protecting patient health information that medical clinics across the United States follow. Ask us at the clinic if you have questions about your records.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you call, text or email us, or send a callback request through the form on this site, we receive what you choose to share. That usually means:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The service you’re asking about
• The best time to reach you
• Anything else you include in your message

Online booking

If you book a consultation online, you use Google Calendar's booking page. It collects your name, email address and phone number and adds the visit to our calendar. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Email newsletter

If you sign up for our articles by email, we use Mailchimp to send them. Mailchimp stores your email address, and your first name if you give it, under its own privacy policy. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site and an approximate location based on your IP address. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security and to keep the site running.

We may use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, and Google Ads tools to measure whether our ads work. These tools use cookies and similar technology. Section 6 explains your choices.

Embedded maps

Our pages include Google Maps so you can find the clinic. When a map loads, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

• To answer your questions, call you back and schedule your visit
• To email you the details for the service you asked about, such as pricing, the first visit and lab requirements
• To run, secure and improve the website
• To understand which pages and ads help people find us
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations

Health information

If you do include health details in a message, we’ll use them only to respond to you and to prepare for your care.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only when we need to:

• With service providers that help us run the clinic and the website, such as our web host and our phone, text, email and analytics providers. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our patients, our staff or others.
• As part of a merger, sale or transfer of the practice, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files your browser stores. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features, like embedded maps, may not.

• Opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
• Control ad personalization in My Ad Center.
• Ask us to update or delete your contact information by calling or emailing us.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and contact details only as long as we need them to respond to you, provide care and meet our legal and business obligations. Medical records are kept for the periods the law requires.

Security

The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to people who need it. No website or messaging system is completely secure, which is one more reason to keep medical details for your visit.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as Google Maps and our LegitScript certification page. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes

We may update this policy as our website or practices change. We’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
